Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

The Lord God Almighty in forgiving us has a peculiar respect to our forgiving those who may have injured us; and left scars as deep memories.  We must study the word in order to grasp this principle.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).  It is positive evidence and good help shown of our forgiving others, for, not just some or one, but for all the injuries that have been done to us.

The best must be made from it.  We must forgive the injury, the painful memory caused by it, as we hope to be forgiven.  We must not bear any malice, must not mediate revenge, we must not upbraid on others with the injuries they have caused, not even rejoice in any harm that may come upon them.  However, we must be readily willing to help the one who caused the harm, and pursue to help them.  If he repents and would like to be friends again, we must be forgiving enough to do so.  It may seem difficult to do, but through Christ all things are possible.

An awakening here is;  But if you forgive not men; those that have caused you injury; or, to suffer pain without cause, neither will your Father, the one you call Heavenly Father, the one who offers you his unmerited favor and mercy given upon unconditional love, will not forgive you. Is that a risk worthy to sacrifice my soul?  Those who have found grace and mercy with God must show grace and mercy to their sisters and brethren in Christ Jesus.
