Matthew 24:35 KJV

These words are spoken by Jesus Christ and are more certain than the very existence of the universe.  His words are most certain and lasting than heaven and earth.  We may build with a more absolute assurance on the words of Jesus than we can upon the pillars of heaven, or even the strong foundation of the earth.  When these have gone away, the words of Jesus Christ shall still remain.  His words will yet be in full force, power, and virtue.  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.  And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (1 Peter 1:24).

 

Every word of Jesus Christ is very pure, and therefore, very sure, and though it be not fulfilled, either in the time or in the way we have prescribed, yet, in God's time, which is the best time, and in God's way, which is the best way, it shall certainly be fulfilled.  Every word that he has spoken shall come to pass and be fulfilled.  Hath he spoken? And shall he not do it?
